A register that does not go stale
A spreadsheet is accurate on the day it is written. Everything below is about the other three hundred and sixty-four.
It stays true on its own
Every assignment, repair and return writes an event. Nobody maintains a change log, because the change log is what the product is made of.
It tells you before you ask
A leaver with equipment outstanding, a warranty about to lapse, a replacement past due. One email a week, and silence when nothing is wrong.
It reaches the actual object
A QR label on the lid, a phone camera, and a return that needs no login. The register and the laptop stay the same laptop.
